PACIOLI, Luca (1445–1517); LEONARDO DA VINCI (1452–1519). *De divina proportione*. Drawings by Leonardo da Vinci. Como: Editrice Dominioni Maslianico, 1967. 4to (324 × 215 mm). Illustrated with 59 plates depicting the regular solids drawn by Leonardo da Vinci. Fine binding with Moorish-style decorated boards; spine lettered and decorated in gilt; preserved in a cardboard slipcase with a reproduction of the title page on the upper cover and the title on the spine. Anastatic facsimile of the 1509 edition printed by Paganino Paganini. Copy no. 282 of 280 numbered copies. [WITH:] TORNIELLO, Francesco (1490–1589). L’Alfabeto di Francesco Torniello da Novara [1517]. Followed by a comparison with Luca Pacioli’s Alfabeto. Verona: Officina Bodoni, 1970. 4to (278 × 188 mm). Including a comparative study of the letterforms of the two alphabets. Woodcut initials and a full-page woodcut portrait of the author by Guillaume Le Signerre. Publisher’s red half-morocco over ivory Linson boards; gilt title on the spine and black title on the upper cover; transparent protective dust jacket; preserved in the publisher’s ivory Linson slipcase.
