Description
FRANCOIS DELTEIL (1878 - 1962) (Beaux-Arts 1932), "Hills", Oil on panel, SBD, 34x46cm. Unframed A Bordeaux painter trained by F. M. Roganeau, he studied at the city's Beaux Arts school around 1930. His oils depicting remarkable trees and landscapes of the region can be admired. In 1955, his family still ran a shop selling "brushes and supplies for painters" at 8 to 10 rue du petit goave in Bordeaux. His studio collection was sold at auction in Bordeaux at the Hôtel Delurbe in the 1980s.
