Description
FURT Pierre Léonce, (Bordeaux 1870 - disappeared around 1930 ), Farm in the South West, oil on panel, SBD, 24 X 32cm. A painter, he claimed to be a pupil of Cabié, Emile Noirot, Dupain, Maignan and Cormon. In his works, lively market scenes alternate with landscapes of our coastal regions. From 1893 to 1900 he exhibited at the "Salon des Amis des Arts de Bordeaux". From 1901 to 1908 he stayed in Paris and exhibited at the "Salon d'Automne" and in 1904 received an honourable mention at the "Salon des Artistes Français". Returning to Bordeaux in 1908, he continued to exhibit at the SAA in Bx until 1930, and is represented at the Musée des Beaux Arts in Bordeaux.
