Description
Robert CHARAZAC (Bordeaux 1905 -1982), "Poterie", coloured pencil on paper, signed and dated 1938, 29x35 cm. A pupil of Paul Quinsac and Charles Lacoste at the École des Beaux-Arts in Bordeaux, where he was also a teacher. He worked a lot with Indian ink and wash. He exhibited at the Société des Amis des Artistes from 1934 to 1941, of which he was a member from 1941 to 1970. He also painted numerous frescoes, notably at the headquarters of the Sud-Ouest newspaper, the Lycée François Mauriac, the Quinsac cellar and the church in Cambes. Some of his works are also on display at the Musée de Mérignac, dedicated to Aquitaine artists - Charles Cante Foundation.
