Description
René-Yves CRESTON (Saint-Nazaire, 1898 – Etables-sur-Mer, 1964) for KELT. A hinged silver bracelet comprising seven medallions decorated with the ermine, Saint Ronan, inscribed with the names of the seven Breton bishoprics, Celtic motifs, Saint Yves and a triskelion. ‘YRC’ monogram on the reverse, ‘Seiz Breur’ hallmark. Inscribed on the back with ‘Doué Hagarvro’ (God and Country) and ‘Potius Mori quam foedari’ (Better death than defilement). Length: 17 cm. Weight: 30.42 g. Enclosed: A round, silver-plated brooch featuring Celtic motifs, the rim bearing the motto “Arch’ant a zeu, arc’hant a ya – Gwir garantez ne c’hall kemma” (You come, wealth, and then you go; my love, however, never changes). Diameter: 4.9 cm. (Partially stripped of its silver plating).
