A pair of Bitong vases made of elephant ivory, carved with an all-over design of battle scenes, one of which is signed on the base. Total height 29 cm – Total gross weight: 2.760 kg Pre-Convention: Japan, first third of the 20th century CIC No. FR26017003252-K EXPERT: Mr Pierre Grignon Dumoulin, court-appointed expert at the Amiens Court of Appeal, authorised agent for works of art made from materials derived from biodiversity. Specimen composed wholly or partly of proboscidean elephantidae ivory SPP (Elephas maximus, Loxodonta africana or Loxodonta cyclotis) listed in Appendix I/A of CITES/EU. In accordance with the regulatory provisions in force within the European Union (Regulation (EU) No 2021/2280 of 16 December 2021), the item will be delivered to the purchaser together with its Intra-Community Certificate No. FR26017003252-K issued by the DREAL Nouvelle-Aquitaine on 3 July 2026, attached to the expert’s report drawn up by Mr Pierre Grignon Dumoulin, a court-appointed expert in works of art composed of materials derived from biodiversity, and an approved agent.
