‘Lukwakongo’ mask made of light wood with a natural patina resulting from use and highlights of pembe (kaolin), depicting a heart-shaped face, the forehead adorned with diamond-shaped incisions. Fibre beard. Signs of wear and moisture. Reserved for initiates of the Kindi guard of the Bwami society, which governs the lives of the Lega people.
