Published to mark an exhibition of Soulages’ gouaches and engravings organised at the Galerie Berggruen in collaboration with the Galerie de France, this booklet, the twenty-third in the Berggruen collection, was completed in October 1957: the letterpress printing was carried out at the Imprimerie Union in Paris, whilst the phototype and stencils were produced in Daniel Jacomet’s workshops.
