Description
Eric Dubrulle Haute Couture in Paris, numbered catwalk piece from the Spring Summer 1996 collection. A dress in houndstooth silk fabric, embroidered with vertical and horizontal lines and appliquéd on the back with cream silk ribbons. Double-breasted in front, long puffed sleeves with jewelled buttons at the cuffs. Collar with crossed flaps to the waist, forming a large flounce on the front of the skirt. Lined in white silk pongee and grey silk crêpe, with cross-over inside fastening using sheathed press studs. Signature in white satin with black graphics indicating Eric Dubrulle Paris, handwritten cotton bolduc under the signature indicating number 0093. We are also enclosing a photocopy of the sketch of this dress. French size 36 equivalent. Very good condition. Eric Dubrulle (1963-1996) opened his couture house in Paris in 1995 at 5 Avenue Matignon and only did two shows, in July 1995 and January 1996, following his sudden death in a car accident on 16 March 1996. He had previously worked as a tailor at Jean-Louis Scherrer before joining Hanae Mori after a trip to Italy to learn about ready-to-wear techniques.
