Description
Eric Dubrulle Couture in Paris (attributed to) Circa 1994, a champagne-coloured Duchesse satin suit top. Fitted cut, crew neck, short kimono sleeves and closed in the back by seven buttons covered in pareil. Cream chiffon lining. French size 36 equivalent. Very good condition. This unique piece is unbranded as it was a customer's model before the creation of her Couture House. Eric Dubrulle (1963-1996) opened his Paris couture house at 5 Avenue Matignon in 1995 and only did two shows, in July 1995 and January 1996, following his sudden death in a car accident on 16 March 1996. He had previously worked as a tailor at Jean-Louis Scherrer before joining Hanae Mori after a trip to Italy to learn about ready-to-wear techniques. Eric Dubrulle was renowned for the quality of his couture designs and finishes. "A refined collection for Parisian elegance" was the headline in L'Officiel de la couture et de la mode de Paris (issue 802-805) in January 1996.expert: Serge LIAGRE
