Jean-Charles de Castelbajac for Tricot, an iconic cartoon jacket in wool knit featuring Woody Woodpecker, the result of a collaboration with Iceberg in Italy in 1974. A loose-fitting jacket with long sleeves and a shawl collar in red knit treated like a scarf. The jacket has no fastenings and a suede yoke at the top of the back embroidered with the character. Label in white satin with black graphics stating Registered design, JC de Castelbajac , Made in Italy, Knitwear, size 42. Years 1975-1985. Good condition. Woody Woodpecker is an American cartoon character created in 1940 by Walter Lantz and his team (Walter Lantz Productions). He first appeared in 1940 in a short film entitled Knock Knock, alongside Andy Panda. The series The Woody Woodpecker Show, comprising 192 episodes and distributed by Universal Studios, lasted until 1971, making this character the last of the "toon" stars of the silver screen.Expert: Serge LIAGRE
