Jean-Charles de Castelbajac for Tricot, an iconic cartoon jacket in wool knit featuring Woody Woodpecker, the result of a collaboration with Iceberg in Italy in 1974. A loose-fitting jacket with long sleeves and a shawl collar in red knit treated like a scarf. The jacket has no fastenings and a suede yoke at the top of the back embroidered with the character. Label in white satin with black graphics stating Registered design, JC de Castelbajac , Made in Italy, Knitwear, size 42. Years 1975-1985. Good condition. Woody Woodpecker is an American cartoon character created in 1940 by Walter Lantz and his team (Walter Lantz Productions). He first appeared in 1940 in a short film entitled Knock Knock, alongside Andy Panda.
