Description
Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, a tunic from the "poem-dresses" series in white linen printed on the theme of Paradise lost by the English author John Milton. A black graphic print on white linen of the cover of the original edition dated 1667 reading "Paradise lost a poem written in ten books by John Milton". Straight-cut tunic with side slits and kimono sleeves fastened at the shoulders with red ribbons. White satin label with black graphics mentioning JC de Castelbajac, size 40. 2000-2010. Good condition. A similar example of this tunic is on display at the Musée des Abattoirs in Toulouse, in the carousel of "robe-poèmes" in the "Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, l'imagination au pouvoir" exhibition. Paradise lost, is an epic poem written by the English poet John Milton, which was published in 1667 in ten parts, "Divine Comedy of Puritanism", written in unrhymed verse.Expert: Serge LIAGRE
