JAPAN - MEIJI period (1868-1912) A pair of incense burners in the form of a standing elephant in brown patina bronze, harnessed, head and trunk raised to the sky, carrying on its back a pagoda surmounted by a dragon chasing the pearl. The saddle cloth decorated with a dragon among clouds, partially gilded. (Missing and damaged) Height: 47 cm
