JAPAN, Arita kiln
A circular porcelain dish decorated in the Imari palette with a bowl from which a pierced rock emerges, ending in a branch of prunus in bloom surrounded by chrysanthemums. The wing is decorated with flowers in cartouches surrounded by irises and "lightning bolt" cloisonné motifs surrounded by a karakusa frieze.
