Lot no. 312
JOHNNY HALLYDAY: A black leather jacket, produced in 1985 by Schott of New York in collaboration with the James Dean Museum in Fairmont, Indiana, bought and worn by the rocker. This motorbike jacket is an exact replica of James Dean's FS model. The garment is inspired by the LAPD Highway Patrol of the 1950s and is being produced in a limited edition of 220 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of James Dean's death. This JD2 model (in white steerhide) was also worn with a removable lined collar. In 1985, this model was sold for $420, including delivery exclusively in the USA. Size XL52. This motorbike jacket was part of Johnny Hallyday's personal collection, as he was a great admirer of James Dean, whose style he adopted early in his career. With belt and drawstrings. Also 2 Triumph pins in aluminium on the lapels. Good condition.
