CHARLES AZNAVOUR (1924–2018)
An original handwritten letter from the artist addressed to the comedian and impressionist Thierry Le Luron. The letter accompanied the text ‘Nous nous reverrons un jour ou l’autre’ (‘We’ll meet again one day or another’), written by Charles Aznavour for his friend Thierry Le Luron in 1976. A song that the impressionist never failed to perform at the end of each of his shows to bid farewell to his audience: ‘My friend, although belatedly, given the many kilometres between us and my constant distance from home, I have not forgotten.’ Enclosed, therefore, is the lyrics; if they are too short or if, for musical reasons, they need tweaking, I would say, it’s only paper and not bronze!
