French doll, 1880–85, made by Jumeau, known as the ‘Sad Jumeau’ or ‘Cody Jumeau’
Pressed biscuit head with closed mouth, marked ‘13’.
Fixed blue eyes. Original articulated body, with fixed forearms.
The doll needs to be reassembled as it was found in an attic.
The entire body is marked: ‘Jumeau Médaille d’or Paris’, but nevertheless requires some minor restoration.
