Description
ANTWERP, 18th century Tabernacle with an architecturally designed front panel in ebony and red tortoiseshell veneer Decorated with bronze and gilded brass. The pediment is decorated with a Boulle-style inlaid panel, set within a frame of columns and bronze statuettes depicting the Virgin Mary and Saint John the Baptist. The front features a door flanked by columns and two gilded bronze cherub statuettes. The base has three stepped sections resting on small ball-shaped feet. Damage, alterations. H. 103 W. 67 cm
