Alfred DECAEN (Paris 1820–1902) Aimery de Rochechouart-Mortemart, at the head of thirty renowned knights and squires, defeated seventy Englishmen – knights and foot soldiers – who, having set out from Verteuil on the Charente, had boasted that they were going to plunder a church (1384) Oil on canvas.
