The Knights of the Zodiac – Saint Seiya (聖闘士星矢) Apollo Artwork created using graphite and coloured pencils, used in the production of the film *Tenkai Hen: Chapter of the Celestial World – Overture*, based on the work of Masami Kurumada (車田・正美) and Shingo Araki (荒木 伸吾). Produced by Toei Animation 2004, Japan H23 L34.5 cm Apollo is the antagonist in the film Tenkai Hen (2004) — the twin brother of Artemis, he takes control of the Sanctuary alongside her following Hades’ defeat. A rare appearance in the Saint Seiya anime series: Apollo features only in this single film, never in the TV series or the Hades OAVs. His design — white cape, solar armour, divine stature — is amongst the most majestic in the entire franchise. Footage of the main antagonist from a one-off production, made seventeen years after the series began, featuring the visual standards of early 2000s animated cinema.
