Shurato – Chronicles of the Celestial War (天空戦記シュラト) Shurato Hidaka and the goddess Vishnu Hand-painted celluloid sheet used in the production of the Shurato anime - Chronicles of the Celestial War, based on the work of Hiroshi Kawamoto (川本 祐弘). Executed in ink and gouache. Produced by Tatsunoko Production 1989–1990, Japan H26 L36 cm Vishnu is the goddess who summoned Shurato to the Tenkūkai to reveal his destiny to him — a central character in the plot whose petrification by the traitor Indra serves as the catalyst for the entire series. A cel depicting both the protagonist and the deity he protects captures one of the defining moments of the series.
