Dororo (どろろ) Dororo Hand-painted celluloid sheet used in the production of the anime *Dororo*, based on the work of Osamu Tezuka (手塚 治虫). Executed in ink and gouache on an original gouache-painted background. Produced by Mushi Production 1969, Japan H23, L27.2 cm Dororo alone — the third cell from the series in this lot. Dororo is a street urchin, a thief by necessity, and a war orphan: his parents were killed by demons, just as Hyakkimaru’s father sold his son. The two protagonists share a background of parental violence — a bond that shapes their companionship far beyond mere adventure.
