Description
Dragon Ball Z (ドラゴンボールZ) Ten Shin Han Hand-painted celluloid sheet used in the production of the anime, based on the work of Akira Toriyama (鳥山 明). Executed in ink and gouache on a printed background Produced by Toei Animation 1996–1997, Japan H23 L26.5 cm Ten Shin Han — the martial arts master with the third eye — is one of the most noble and tragic characters in Dragon Ball Z: an elite warrior bound by a strict code of ethics, he is consistently outmatched by the escalating power levels in the series but refuses to give up. His solitary stand against Semi-Perfect Cell — in which he uses his Tri-Beam attack until he is completely exhausted to cover Android 18’s retreat — is one of the moments most admired by fans in the series, precisely because it says something essential about dignity in defeat.
