Taichi Hiraga-Keaton is one of Naoki Urasawa’s most original creations — now recognised as one of the greatest manga authors thanks to *Monster* and *20th Century Boys*. Master Keaton was his first major success: the son of a Japanese zoologist and a British aristocrat, Keaton is an archaeologist at Oxford, a survival instructor and an investigator for Lloyd’s of London. Each of his missions takes him to a different European country, weaving together the history of the 20th century with a documentary-like precision rarely seen in animation.
