[CERAMICS] Ovoid lidded vase, c. 1929 Porcelain glazed with a polychrome decoration of stylised flowers on a brown to ochre background. Signature stamp in enamel and ‘CT Limoges’ stamp on the base. H.: 37 – Diam.: 18 cm. The prototype of this vase was exhibited at the 1929 Salon des Artistes Décorateurs. Bibliography: - For the model of this vase, exhibited at the 1929 Salon des Artistes Décorateurs and acquired for the Senate’s reception rooms: *Mobilier et décoration*, 1 January 1930, p. 169. - For the photographic reproduction showing the creation of a vase with a similar design: *Notre province*, 1 September 1942, p. 193. Provenance: A couple of collectors from the first half of the 20th century, admirers of Camille Tharaud, then passed down through the family, Cagnes-sur-Mer. The lid of the vase is damaged.
