Sold at auction – Moustiers. A pair of small earthenware jugs in grand feu style, decorated in cobalt blue with manganese highlights featuring a coiled scroll and bouquets of flowers and foliage; the handle features a relief mascaron, whilst the neck is adorned with scrollwork. Pierre Clérissy’s workshop. Late 17th–early 18th century. Height: 33 cm. Collector’s label (Lids added later? Minor damage to the throat of one neck, wear to the tips of the mascarons, hair on one of the lids, small chip on the inside at the base of the other).
