Silver-plated alto saxophone signed by Marius Roche, instrument maker at 30 Rue Tapis Vert, Marseille. Number on the lyre bracket: 3936. Ebonite mouthpiece. Circa 1930. Case stamped ‘Henri Selmer, Paris’ included with the instrument; whilst the instrument maker was renowned for the accuracy and tonal character of his instruments, he did not produce the cases himself… Total height: 69 cm. The silver plating is in perfect condition.
