Description
A ‘capucine’ clock, in bronze, iron and brass, resting on four turned legs; the dial features Roman numerals in repoussé brass with a single hand, and displays a deity in profile at its centre. The whole is surmounted by a blank coat of arms, crowned and flanked by a pair of lions. 17th century.
H: 38 cm.
Modifications to the movement.
Included is a carved oak floor clock case decorated with floral motifs and fluting. An antique Norman piece, probably 18th century.
