Luc Albert MOREAU (1882–1948). *Le grain*, drypoint on laid paper. Numbered 15/25, signed, with the publisher’s stamp ‘Ed Sagot éditeur Paris’ beneath the intaglio. Titled on the reverse (dim. 13x23 cm). ‘Ed. Sagot, Paris’ is the signature of the publisher and art dealer Edmond Sagot (1857–1917), a leading figure in the Paris print market in the late 19th century. He founded his firm in 1881 and became one of the leading specialists in original prints, lithographs and art posters.
