La Hechicera, meaning ‘the enchantress’ in Spanish, is a Colombian rum produced from a blend of aged rums that have been matured using the Solera method in American white oak casks
. La Hechicera is produced from the fermentation of molasses derived from sugar cane selected from across Colombia. The result of the fermentation is continuously distilled in column stills, producing a light distillate which is then aged for a longer period to develop a smooth character. La Hechicera is then aged in American white oak casks that have previously been used to mature bourbon whisky for a minimum of four years.
