SUGAR BOWL on a pedestal and its SAUCER in vermeil (950), chiselled and engraved with Greek-style motifs and palmettes. The anthropomorphic handles are decorated with young vestal virgins holding tambourines in their hands, and terminate in two stylised foliage scrolls forming a heart. The handle is chiselled with a frieze of four-leaf clovers.
