Description
Alexander SCHMIDT-MICHELSEN (1859–1908) An elderly woman in her garden. Gouache on paper, signed and dated ‘Paris’ in the lower left-hand corner. The reverse bears two labels: one, dated 1895, bearing the number 2146; the other, from the Great Art Exhibition in Berlin, bears the number 1328. This work was probably exhibited there in 1901, as the exhibition catalogue lists a work entitled ‘Spring in My Garden’ under the same number 1328. Dimensions: 45.5 x 30 cm. (Water stains).
