TOURS SCHOOL, in the style of Bernard PALISSY Oval glazed earthenware dish with polychrome relief decoration; in the centre, fish resting on seaweed; the rim, set against a brown background and foliage, is adorned with a grass snake, an eel, a lizard, a frog and shells. Marbled reverse. Original hanging holes. Late 19th century, circa 1880. Dimensions: 35.5 x 24.5 cm. (Some chips on the fish’s fins).
