- A cavalry or infantry officer’s sabre. Polished brass mountings and guard. Black grip. Decorated with rosettes and laurel branches. Straight blade stamped ‘F.B.D.’ with a Phrygian cap, standing for François Backès and François Delacour. Iron sheet scabbard with a single loop.
Late 19th century.
Length of the sword: 101.5 cm. Length of the blade: 86.5 cm.
Total length in the scabbard: 106.5 cm.
(Slight oxidation; the sword strap is missing).
- A rifle bayonet. Steel mount and hilt. Straight blade numbered Q (?) 14759. Metal scabbard marked PJ (?) 66692.
