Fante couple
Carved wood. The arms and feet of each figure are carved separately. The woman wears high braids forming a sort of crown, the man a shaggy hairstyle. Traces of white and black paint are visible on both statuettes. In good condition.
Two fingers are missing from the man's left hand and the woman's left foot.
Height: 59.7 and 61 cm.
Ghana, 1st half of the 20th century.
