Description
The first New Testament in Scottish Gaelic Tiomnadh Nuadh ar tighearna agus ar slanuigh-fhir Iosa Criosd Translated from the Greek by James Stuart. Published at the expense of the S.S.P.C.K. (Society in Scotland for Propagating Christian Knowledge), Edinburgh (Balfour, Auld & Smellie), 1767. Preceded by Rules for reading the Galic language, text of 9 pages at the beginning of the work. in-8° (17 x 10 cm). Unpaginated (approximately 600 pages) except for the first part of 9 pages. Binding in poor condition, worn on the outside front edge (2.5 cm) and at the corners. The seams are still strong and the boards are well attached.
