Saint Nerses the Gracious (Ներսէս Շնորհալի), Jesus the Son (Յիսուս որդի) Venice, impr. by Hovhannes d'Angora (Հովհաննես Անկյուրացու) nella Salicata, 1643. In-8° (11.6 x 6.8 cm). 520 (instead of 525) pages. Woodcut upper headband and initials in the shape of a bird. Text framed with simple woodcut fillets. Some ornamental woodcuts in the margins. The plate depicting Patriarch Nerses preaching to the Armenians and the last 6 pages (colophon) are missing. Edges of title page slightly damaged, with some finger marks. Lower corners of some pages torn. Beautiful period binding in cold-stamped calf on wooden boards. Floral borders on upper board. Central compartment decorated with motifs forming a cross. Front board protected by a cold-stamped calf flap, extending the rear board. Nella Salicata (Սալիգաթաուի) refers to the street in Venice where the printing works were located.
