Description
Saint Nerses the Gracious(Ներսէս Շնորհալի), Jesus the Son (Յիսուս որդի) Venice, Giovanni Battista Bovis printing house, 1660. Small in-8° (11.6 x 6.8 cm). 524 pages (of 526, the last two missing). One full-page engraving by Jacopo Ruffone between pages 240 and 241 (Saint Nerses in devotion before the Holy Trinity). Vignettes and zoomorphic letters. The frontispiece engraving used as the title page and the engravings of the Crucifixion and Nerses preaching are missing. Insertion of a non-original engraving between pages 2 and 3 (Mysteria Passionis and Missae), taken from another Armenian book. As is often the case, the last leaf with the Bovis coat of arms is missing. Handwritten first leaves. Handwritten notes in Armenian on the back covers. Restoration of some pages. Leather binding restored.
