Catholicos Simeon of Yerevan (Սիմէօն Երեւանցի), Payment of the debt (Պարտավճար) Etchmiadzine, St Gregory the Illuminator imprint, 1779- 1783. In-8°. 383 pages (the first 6 pages are missing, including the title page and the full-page engraving of the Holy Trinity surrounded by the four Evangelists). The engravings on pages 170 and 290 are missing. This doctrinal treatise is addressed to the Armenian faithful in defence of their doctrines. The catholicos reaffirms the truth of the unique faith of the Holy Church of Armenia and exhorts the Armenian nation to remain faithful to it without deviation. He condemns the bishops and false leaders who have established themselves among the Armenian nation, i.e. the Armenian Catholics and their dissident clergy. Beautiful restored leather binding.
