New Alphabet Book (Նոր տետրակ այբուբենական) Volume II containing a canonical psalm and various other useful texts, parables and verses, collected from other nations and translated. Madras, impr. Sarkis Dzadour Aghavaliants (Սարգիս Ծատուր Աղավալյանց), 1809. 1 vol. In-8°, 128 pages with an engraved frontispiece depicting the printer's father in a naive style with the Armenian inscription Նկար իսկապէս ձևով փորագրի տոհմ Աղավալեան Սարգիս Ծատուրի 1809. Note the spiked hat characteristic of Armenian merchants in India. Small wormholes in the margins without affecting the condition, which can be described as very good. Inscriptions by former owners on the inside covers. Period leather binding, sober, in good condition. Extremely rare religious but above all commercial teaching manual for future merchants. Complete.
