Patriarchal Bull of Blessing known as Kondak (Կոնդակ)
Printed, dated 1866, addressed to Armenian visitors making a donation to the Convent of St James in Jerusalem.
The blessing is given by the Patriarch of Jerusalem Issai IV Garabedian de Talas (1864-1885) (handwritten in red ink).
Headed with the seal of the monastery in red ink with the inscription ԿՆԻՔՍ ՍՈՒՐԲ ԷՐՈՒՍԱՂԵՄԻ ԱԹՈՌՈՅՍ ՍՐԲՈՑ

The kondak has an ornamental border and a colour-enhanced initial lettrine in the form of an angel holding a cloth on which rests the decapitated head of St. James.
