11 mm calibre, breech numbered en suite and marked: "MANUFACTURE IMPÉRIALE MLE 1866 - St-Étienne".
Brass fittings, buttplate stamped: "15C" for 15ème Régiment de Chasseurs à Cheval.
Walnut stock with faint badge and stamped: "F 23168" Iron ramrod.
Leather strap, possibly reworked.
