Second Empire period helmet reused under the Third Republic by changing the band to the Arms of Paris "Garde de Paris".
Steel shell, brass fittings.
Crest with screwed godrons with frontal screw (hole filled).
Leather interior, nape band basane present, visor basane absent. Chinstrap leathers may have been redone.
Service number stamped on neck band. Tricolour plumeet with metallic olive.
