France - TWO PAIRS OF FIREMAN'S SPOOLS MID 19th century. Brass plate embossed with scales, a flaming pyre surmounted by two crossed axes and a grenade for one pair, and smooth for the other. Scarlet cloth and black waxed basane lining. Scarlet and gold wool fringes. Brass uniform button marked "SAPEURS POMPIERS". Used but good condition.
