GERMANY - ALLEGEMEINE HELMET MODEL 31/34.
This early helmet was worn before 1931 without decals.
It was very similar in appearance to the German Model 1916 helmet.
These helmets were Feldgrau green or dark blue, and black for the Allegemeine.
Many helmets were repainted in Feldgrau for use by fighting units.
Visually, the helmets have ventilation eyelets on the top and, as they fit directly onto the leather lining, there are no rivets for a chinstrap.
Very good condition.
