Porcelain plate painted with the coat of arms of Argentina, 1917. The back bears the mark of the Royal Porcelain Manufactory of Berlin, KPM (imperial orb, sceptre and iron cross) and various numbers which allow it to be dated 1917. Diameter: 23.5cm. Metal wall mounting included.
Perfect condition.
During the First World War, the Argentine Republic maintained the utmost neutrality with regard to the belligerents, which the Germans appreciated, as shown by this extremely rare decoration from the very official Royal Manufactory in Berlin, no doubt created as a ceremonial gift.
