Pair of Jhumka ear clips in 750 thousandths yellow gold, the upper part formed by a hammered cross holding a half-sphere with fringes set with Indian-cut pink tourmalines, facetted pearls and briolettes, toggle fastenings (inclusions and knocks). Indian work. Height 6.4 cm - Width: 2 cm Gross weight: 58.1 g Note: Jhumka earrings originated in India, where they have been worn since Antiquity. Their characteristic bell shape is inspired by temple ornaments and sacred Hindu architecture. They feature prominently in ancient sculptures, where they were associated with divinities and classical dancers.
