Description
A set of four armchairs from the late Louis XV period. They are made of walnut, which was once painted, and feature cabriolet-style backs. They are moulded, with cuffed arms supported by sinuous armrests. The oblong seat features a moulded cavet-shaped band and rests on a moulded, slightly arched base. Probably an 18th-century piece from Lyon. NB: The wood is in good overall condition. The left armrest joint is open. H. 93 – D. 53 – W. 62 cm.
