Description
A pair of Louis XVI-period barrel-shaped chairs in re-lacquered wood. The rectangular backrests are moulded and feature a trapezoidal band with a cavetto moulding. They rest on turned, tapered legs that are fluted and have a rudenté finish on the front. Made in the Lower Burgundy region during the Louis XVI period. NB: Restored chairs; restoration visible on one side panel. H. 89.5 – D. 45.5 – W. 49.5 cm.
