Description
A ladies’ writing desk in the style of a chiffonier, with a rosewood veneer finish accented by a composite moulding and amaranth framing. It features a top drawer, a flap concealing a small cabinet with two wide drawers, and three drawers in the lower section. It has bevelled sides veneered with faux fluting and rests on a small, straight base. Decorated with small inlays; the top is of veined Saint Anne grey marble, moulded with a cavet. A Parisian piece from the Louis XVI period. NB: Lock on the upper rear drawer; key missing. Slight warping on both sides. H 110 – D 34.5 – W 52 cm.
